Environment and Climate Change Canada forecasts overnight lows near –30 C by Friday, with daytime temperatures staying in the –20s.The response kicks in when temperatures drop to –20 C or colder for three straight days. Public facilities, including recreation centres and libraries, are opening their doors to anyone needing warmth. Al Rashid Mosque is also adding an overnight shelter with space for up to 50 people.Local agencies, including Hope Mission, are expanding services with daytime shelters, outreach teams, and shuttle vans.
